Start your week off right with some suggestions from City Weekly's extensive event listings.---

To wit, if you're into some excellent tunes and supporting good causes, head on over to The Urban Lounge Monday night for the Kitty Cause, featuring performances by Hello Transparency, the Red Bennies and the Will Kills. You'll hear some fine rock 'n' roll and perhaps save a cat or two from a really rough December.

Over at Kilby Court, Suedehead (pictured, and yes, named for Morrissey's track) headlines a show of pop-rock goodness at 7 p.m. Westminster College's chamber orchestra is hosting a holiday concert Monday at the Vieve Gore Concert Hall on the school's Sugar House campus at 7:30 p.m.

And if you're down Provo way, Velour is hosting a Winter Battle of the Bands beginning Monday at 8 p.m.
