Warm up for Election Day with a chill Monday. Here are a few options for your entertainment dollar.---

The King's English welcomes author John Flanagan, scribe of The Ranger's Apprentice fantasy series. You can meet the author and get him to sign your book at 7 p.m. tonight, but you'll need a ticket, so contact The King's English before you roll out.

The Urban Lounge hosts a Bay Area force of funk in Monophonics (pictured), a big, boisterous, horn-fueled collection reminiscent of Sly and the Family Stone and P-Funk.

And with winter quite literally right around the corner, this would be a good time to brush up on your Snowshoe Basics at REI, so go take the class and prepare to stride and glide in style.
