The week starts off with one of the most hotly anticipated shows of the fall, but that's not all that's going on.---

St. Vincent (pictured)—the nom de plume of Annie Clark—arrives at The Urban Lounge Monday night in support of Strange Mercy, her new collection of stinging songcraft that's garnered rave reviews and is sure to end up on various Top 10 lists at the end of the year. Cate Le Bon opens the show at 9 p.m.

The Tower Theatre, in anticipation of John Waters' appearance later this week, is screening his twisted follow-up to Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble. If you've never seen it, you'll love watching the trouble Divine gets in when her parents don't give her what she wants for Christmas: cha-cha heels. It shows at 7 p.m. You can read our interview with John Waters right here.

The Rose Wagner Theater is the place to be Monday night for Some Men, Terrence McNally's exploration of the attitudes and experiences of gay men in New York City across multiple decades, viewed through the lens of the contemporary gay-marriage controversy. Tony Award-winners John Glover and John Benjamin Hickey are scheduled to be among the cast members for this staged reading. Proceeds go to the Utah Pride Center and the Courage Campaign; the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
