The autumnal equinox is upon us, and that means it's time to toast the good folks of USEE for working to promote environmental literacy in Utah’s schools at their annual benefit bash.---

Since 1981, USEE has been trying to get green thinking into Utah classrooms. Not as the only way to think about the environment, but at the least as a way to get concepts of environmentalism into the curriculum of discussion for educators teaching first graders to college students.

This Friday, you can help support the organization’s fight for enviro-literacy by attending the group’s benefit bash. For a $45 ticket--$55 for nonmembers -- you can be wined and dined and receive a ticket for a prize drawing. An auction will also include prizes ranging from ski passes and climbing-gym memberships to VIP passes to the Living Planet Aquarium.

Check it out Friday, Sept. 23, from 6-9 p.m. at the Ladies Literary Club, 850 E. South Temple. For more information, contact 801-328-1549
