How do you do Shakespeare truly old school? By staging a production the way it would've happened in 16th-century England: with every role played by a man. ---

Logan's newly formed Achtung! Theater Company is presenting a production of Romeo and Juliet aptly subtitled "Old School." And that's because the production will be cast exclusively with male performers, in keeping with the tradition of the Elizabethan stage. It's a 180-degree turn from productions that attempt to make Shakespeare "relevant" by updating setting, era or costumes; here's a real sense for what it might have been like to watch the play in its own time.

Catch this unique approach at the Logan Arthouse & Cinema beginning Friday, Sept. 10 at 2 p.m., with additional performances Sept. 12, 13, 16 & 17. We'll see if Logan can show Utah how you really do Shakespeare old school.
