I'm still recovering from a stellar Gipsy Kings show Tuesday night at Red Butte Garden. Damn, those Frenchies can play! You don't see dance parties like that every day.---
Wednesday offers all manner of entertainment for your ears, starting with another show at Red Butte Garden, where '70s guitar hero Peter Frampton headlines a show celebrating the 35th anniversary of Frampton Comes Alive! And not only will you hear all those familiar (to those of a certain age) hits, you can also buy a copy of the Red Butte show immediately after it's over. Talk about a sweet souvenir -- I did the same at a Pixies show a few years back and listen to the disc a lot.
Out at Usana Amphitheatre in West Valley City, regular visitors 311 bring their reggae-fied hip-hop and funk-rock sound to town, along with Sublime with Rome (that would be Sublime without their late singer, but with some dude named Rome).%uFFFD
And The Complex hosts a dance-ready show featuring AWOLNation, Wallpaper and New Regime.
