With nearly 50 premier restaurants cooking their tastiest small dishes, Taste of the Nation is one of Utah’s finest culinary extravaganzas. And it looks nearly as good as it tasted. ---

The four-hour event up at Solitude Mountain Resort also featured wine and beer samplings, music and a silent and live auction. And it’s all for a good cause: 100 percent of ticket sales supports Share Our Strength’s efforts to end childhood hunger. For the hard figures raised at this event, read this blog by Dan Nailen.

While I realize watching a slideshow of delicious food will only be for the most hardcore foodie—or those wanting to relive the weekend’s gluttony—it might inspire some culinary excellence in you, or a desire to head to Solitude next year.

It’s also worth noting that these photos were taken on my phone, so the quality is not magazine-grade. And while these are some of my favorite dishes at the event, by the time I meandered about, several of the booths had already packed up.
