The skies have cleared, just in time for some outdoor (and indoor) extreme competition this weekend. ---

The Gatorade Free Flow Tour makes two Utah stops this weekend for local athletes looking to move from "Flow to Pro." On Saturday, Aug. 6, the 12th Street Jumps Park in Ogden hosts a BMX dirt track competition, with registration beginning at 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7 marks a skate event at We Are One Skate Park in Midvale, also beginning at 9 a.m. Competition is open to male and female participants under the age of 21; a $15 entry fee is required for all participants, plus a liability waiver and parent signature for all participants under age 18.

Winners for each competition will be flown to the Free Flow Tour finals, held in conjunction with the annual Dew Tour. For the skate winner, that won't require much travel: The skateboarding finals take place right in downtown SLC at the Dew Tour's Toyota Challenge Sept. 8 - 11.
