Tonight, see near-legendary prog rockers, Dracula basketball players and Portland’s greatest export (it’s not porn).---

Die-hard fans of A Perfect Circle—and, honestly, I don’t know anyone who is just sort of a fan of the band—can forgive Maynard and his super-crew for not releasing any new music for seven years or so for getting the chance to see the iconic band live. While Kingsbury Hall isn’t exactly the place to rock out to hard prog rock, tonight’s concert should certainly prove to be a memorable evening, and well worth the pricey cost.

Portland is an exporter of three things: Comic books, pornography (seriously, I’m not joking) and indie rock. The latest product that Salt Lake City will see—of the latter category—is the folk-rock quartet The Hague. Get down to Kilby Court at 7 p.m. for some melodious, intricate roots music; afterward, if you choose to indulge in other Portland exports, that’s your business.

The Midwestern alternative-rock group, Ludo, might have the most interesting name for a tour that we’ve seen all year: “Space Dracula’s Basketball Expo.” Some shows will be space-themed, some will be Dracula-themed, some will be basketball-themed, some will be all three. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. at Club Sound; Sparks the Rescue will open.
