Solar Cooking Workshop

On Saturday, July 16, Wasatch Community Gardens and urban homesteaders Jonathan Krausert and Julie Nelsen will host a workshop teaching the joys of solar cooking. --- If you're tired of sweating in an overheated kitchen or you have to crank up the A/C due to hot stoves and ovens, this is the workshop for you.
According to Wasatch Community Gardens, "We live in the perfect environment to turn our summertime sunshine into a sustainable and inexpensive way to prepare foods, cut down on the environment and monetary costs of conventional cooking, and keep kitchens cool in the summertime."
The workshop will be held at Fairpark Garden (1037 W. 300 North) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost for is $10 per person (there are also scholarships available) and you can register here.
