The top of the heap for this guy is the Okkervil River (pictured) and Titus Andronicus double-bill at The Urban Lounge. Okkervil River is touring in support of their excellent new disc I Am Very Far, while New Jersey's Titus Andronicus are simply a touring machine, laying waste to venues across the country with tunes from their well-received 2010 set, The Monitor.
Up at Red Butte Garden, Cake brings their quirky pop-rock to town a year after selling out the Utah Arts Festival's Summer Solstice Concert, and it's sure to be a different crowd than the typical Red Butte gang for this gig.
The Depot plays host to reggae legends Steel Pulse, who have been together doing revolutionary reggae for more than 35 years.
