BREAKING: Sam Weller's Picks New Location

Main Street stalwart Sam Weller's Bookstore, which announced more than two years ago plans to vacate its current location, has finally picked its new home. ---

In an exclusive message to City Weekly, Tony Weller revealed that Sam Weller's signed a lease Tuesday to move to Trolley Square, in the location formerly housing the movie theater. A press release will be coming at noon today announcing additional details, including the date of the move.

UPDATED: The press release from Sam Weller's indicates "early autumn" as the planned time for opening in the new Trolley Square location, but nothing more definite. "Until we have designs and a construction schedule," the release adds, "we are not able to determine moving dates but as soon as those are known, we will make further announcements."

The 10,000 square foot space is scheduled to include a "coffee shop or eatery for which arrangements are still in progress;" the atrium area in the mall adjacent to the retail location will be used for large author events.
