Never has fruit gotten the hype that it will garner Monday night at the Salt Lake Art Center. And that's just the beginning of the evening's activities.---

The Salt Lake Art Center: Fallen Fruit of Utah Family Night is an opening of sorts for the fruit-themed show that runs through Sept. 17, and includes more than 60 fruit-related artworks from eight Utah museums. Tonight, you can record your own thoughts on citrus and take part in a fruit-related scavenger hunt, among other activities.

At Pioneer Memorial Theater at the U, Rent continues its run Monday night, while Hale Centre Theatre in West Valley continues its take on Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

And if stand-up comedy is your thing and you didn't get enough over the weekend courtesy of the Utah Comedy Festival, Wiseguys in West Valley is hosting larger-than-life (seriously) Ralphie May for two nights, beginning Monday with a 7:30 p.m. show.
