Wasatch Roller Derby played their six home bout of the 2011 roller-derby season on Saturday, May 7 at the Derby Depot. WRD's Action Girl recaps--what else?--the action. ---

"We had another exciting bout on Saturday: The Hot Wheelers and the Black Diamond Divas duked it out once again for home-team bragging rights. After the first half, it looked like the Hot Wheelers had it in the bag, but the Divas came back with a vengeance after halftime. After the Hot Wheelers put in veteran Jammer, Skull Candi, it seemed like it was going to be anyone’s game but the Wheelers couldn’t close the gap. The Black Diamond Divas took home the win with a final score of 130-113."

Next Wasatch Roller Derby bout: WRD's Midnight Terror all-stars take on Las Vegas' Fabulous Sin City Rollergirls at the Derby Depot (1417 S. 700 West) on Saturday, May 21 at the opposite of Midnight, noon. After that, the Black Diamond Divas and the Hot Wheelers fight to break this season's tie on Saturday, June 4, once again at the Derby Depot. Tickets and info: WasatchRollerDerby.com. Full local bout sked here at Utah Roller Derby 2011.
