The month of April saw one Utah doctor have all his prescribing and practicing privileges reinstated while a new name was also added to the list of Utah’s disciplined doctors.---
St. George osteopathic surgeon George Callahan had his license to practice and administer controlled substances reinstate don April 26, after three years of probation for “unlawful conduct…with respect to pain management prescribing.” Meanwhile Mark Bradley Kabins’ license to practice and prescribe controlled substances was placed on probation pending the resolution of an administrative probation on his license in Nevada.
That probation goes back to a decision by the Arizona Medical Board that noted Kabins had been indicted in 2009 in a Nevada District Court. Kabins’ indictments included “conspiracy, mail fraud/honest services fraud and aiding and abetting” in an alleged scheme to defraud money and property from one of his patients.
