May Day is this Sunday! Join local activists to rally for the rights of workers and immigrants and join in a march to the Capitol.---

May 1 is International Workers Day, a celebration of the proud tradition of organized laborers all around the country. This year’s celebration teams up with United for Social Justice to not only call for organizing but also to call for legalizing! Not amnesty per se, but to call on local law enforcement to not enforce a recent Arizona-style law passed in the 2011 Legislature.

USJ will also be looking for participants in local neighborhood councils and will also be drumming up support for local unions.

Join the march and rally this Sunday, May 1, at 1 p.m. at the Salt Lake City and County Building, 451 S. State.
