loveDANCEmore Fall 2011 Mudson: Applications are due May 1 for this fall's continuation of the new showcase for dance works-in-progress. Applicants will need to have a video sample as part of the application.

Utah Original Writing Contest: The Utah Division of Arts & Museums is holding its 53rd annual competition in seven categories: novel-length fiction (minimum 60,000 words); biography/autobiography non-fiction (minimum 60,000 words); book-length collection of short stories/fiction (minimum 60,000 words); young-adult book fiction or non-fiction; poetry collection (maximum 1,000 lines); adult short-story/fiction (maximum 7,500 words); adult personal essay/non-fiction (maximum 7,500 words). Deadline for all applications is June 30, 2011, and cash prizes will be awarded to first and second-place winners. Visit the Website for additional application details.

Utah Arts Festival Gallery: Call for entries to participate in gallery showings fall 2011 - spring 2012. All media are accepted. Deadline Friday, May 6; apply here.
