It took 30 years for Disney to re-visit Flynn's Arcade. Now you can visit it at home, for free and in high definition. ---
Tuesday, April 5 marks the DVD release of last year's TRON: Legacy, the sequel to the groundbreaking 1981 film that first employed computer animation. The new movie was a bit of a dud, but it certainly had its high-flying moments. And it's certain to look its best on Blu-Ray.
So we invite readers of this blog to take a shot at winning not just the TRON: Legacy Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack, but also the brand-new-to-Blu-Ray original TRON. All you have to do for your chance to win is post a reply to this blog in which, in 150 words or less, you tell us which 1980s video game should be turned into a big-screen movie, and what the plot would be. Winner will be selected by yours truly and named on Thursday, April 7. No City Weekly employees, contributors or their family members are eligible, please; winners must be able to pick up their prize at the City Weekly office, 248 S. Main St., during regular business hours 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Fire up your light cycle and take your shot at winning the TRON double-feature.
