Whole Foods Market Trolley Square has been open all of two days and they’re already throwing a shindig. Join the locally-made product party, March 16, at the swanky new store from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.---

If the endless samples aren’t enough to have folks join the festivities, Whole Foods is giving away reusable bags and providing live music for this free event. Many of the over-50 local food artisans offered in the store will be on hand to meet and greet, such as: Laurie’s Buffalo Chips, Happy Monkey Hummus, Blossom Fine Foods, Cox Honeyland, Sheperds Dairy, Apple Beer, Rokit Fuel, Seal Sama, X Agave, Dee’s Cereal, Bumble & Bee, Nature’s Indulgence, City Cakes, Aspen Mills, Café Ibis, Shepherds Dairy and City Cakes.

As if they had to do anything besides open to have people check out the new digs, which one friend called a “near religious experience.” I wouldn’t go that far, but I will be there for a lunch of tasty local products.
