Lounge Act Wednesday: Ryan Bingham rocks, Marc Maron mocks

In my excitement for the arrival of Oscar-winning alt-country dude Ryan Bingham, I was ready for his show Monday. But no, it's actually Wednesday, and he's not the only cool thing going down this eve.---

But we'll start with Bingham, pictured, the young troubador who co-wrote many of the songs sung by Jeff Bridges in the movie Crazy Heart. Bingham is now touring in support of his stellar 2010 release Junky Star, and his show at In the Venue with his band the Dead Horses should be damn fine.

At Brewvies tonight, the City Weekly Street Team will be on hand hosting a free screening of the cinema classic dark comedy Harold & Maude, which starts at 8 p.m., but you'll want to get there early to get a seat. And over at The Tower, the X96 Radio From Hell Film Festival kicks off at 7 p.m., featuring the works of local film talents.
