Whether or not you're working Monday, there's no excuse for missing some of these fine entertainment options, from local rockers to globe-trotting ballers.---

Those would be the Harlem Globetrotters, the long-running basketball circus who famously plays along to the tune "Sweet Georgia Brown" while making their opponents the Washington Generals look silly. How good are the Globetrotters? So good they can play two games at EnergySolutions Arena in one day, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and still be ready for more games tomorrow.%uFFFD

On the music tip, John Lee Hooker, Jr., starts a two-night stand at the Sun and Moon Cafe Monday night at 7, while local rock dudes Max Pain & the Groovies (pictured) get ready for a short regional tour by throwing down at Kilby Court at 7 with friends like Dirty Blonde and Fox Van Cleef joining them on the bill. Park City is hosting jam-band supergroup Stockholm Syndrome at Harry O's, for what will undoubtedly be the longest show of the night. At the very least, it will seem that way.
