The Salt Lake City arts & entertainment scene always features more options than our print-edition Essentials can hold. Here are a few more ways to be enlightened and delighted this weekend. ---

In Park City tomorrow, Feb. 12, the Grammy-winning Turtle Island Quartet accompanies Luna Negra Dance Theatre for an innovative exploration of the Cuban dance tradition "Danzon." Tickets are still available for this special commission of the University of Notre Dame's DeBartolo Performing Arts Center and the Music Center at Strathmore.

Also tomorrow, local author Bree Despain signs The Lost Saint, the follow-up to 2009's young-adult hit The Dark Divine, in Sandy. Visit the Costco at 11100 Auto Mall Drive from 1 - 2 p.m. to meet the author and get your book signed.

Finally, as a special supplement to Salt Lake Acting Company's fascinating current production The Persian Quarter, the company will host a post-performance panel discussion after the matinee on Sunday, Feb. 13. Beginning at 5 p.m., University of Utah assistant professor of political science Tim Chambless will moderate a conversation about U.S./Iran relations that will also feature playwright Kathleen Cahill, Rumi Poetry Club co-founder Rasoul Sorkhabi and University of Utah Middle East Center director Bahman Bakitari.
