Need to do a little catching up on your Oscar contenders before the awards are handed out on Feb. 27? Head to Layton for a little marathon viewing. ---

Once again, AMC Theaters nationwide are offering a special deal for those interested in watching all 10 of the 2011 nominees for Best Picture (and, in the process, quite a few of the acting, writing and technical nominees). Locally, that means the AMC Loews Layton Hills, where the event will be split over two days. On Saturday, Feb. 19, beginning at 11 a.m., watch Toy Story 3, 127 Hours, The Kids Are All Right, True Grit and The Fighter, wrapping up at around 9:45 p.m.; on Saturday, Feb. 26, round out the field beginning at 11 a.m. with Winter's Bone, Black Swan, Inception, The Social Network and The King's Speech.

One-day passes for either Saturday are $35, which includes admission to all five films on that day plus a $10 gift card for concessions. A two-day pass is $60, plus two $10 gift cards (one for each day).
