This just in: NBC has fatally chopped the order for The Cape from 13 episodes to 10. This just in-er: At least a dozen of you now realize that The Cape is still on, and none of you remember NightMan. ---

What’s new tonight:
Cougar Town (ABC) Last Episode Before Hiatus: Next week, fellow ex-Friend Matthew Perry’s Mr. Sunshine takes over Courteney Cox’s timeslot (and yet ABC is leaving the lame Better With You on Wednesdays—WT fuck?). Catch the last new Cougar Town until April (!) tonight, a Valentine’s-themed ep wherein sexy wackiness and free-flowing wine ensue. Sure, Mr. Sunshine is pretty funny (read a True TV preview here, Item 5), but ol’ Chandler Bing is no match for Cougar Town’s inspired silliness. At least I know it'll return, unlike ...

Human Target (Fox) Next to Last Episode: For reasons known only to Fox, Human Target is getting a prime post-American Idol boost tonight and next week … and then Season 2 is over. So, for you millions of potential fans who might get a taste of this excellent-but-yet-struggling action series, too damned bad. At least Tony Hale (Arrested Development—Buster!) is back tonight … that’s something, right?

Top Chef: All-Stars (Bravo) Why is it that every time I try to catch Top Chef or any other Bravo series, all I or my Tivo gets is another edition of The Real Housewhores? Did that shit-cannon win an Emmy? No—Top Chef did. Anyway, if it’s actually on tonight, the final three All-Stars’ challenge is to whip up a real-deal Italian dinner to impress guest judges Isaac Mizrahi (Bravo’s Fashion Show) and Lorraine Bracco (The Sopranos). Don’t know if I can get through another Wednesday without Padma, Bravo …

Also new tonight:
Off the Map (ABC); Live to Dance, Blue Bloods (CBS); Minute to Win It, Law & Order: SVU (NBC); American Idol (Fox); Dog the Bounty Hunter, Storage Wars (A&E); Hot in Cleveland, Retired at 35 (TV Land); Ghost Hunters Int’l (Syfy); Being Erica (SoapNet); Conan (TBS)

Preview: Cougar Town on the idiocy of Valentine’s Day (with a little Christmas tossed in) …
