Lounge Act Thursday: Reggae high and low

With Sundance winding to a close, what better way to mellow out than firing up some reggae riffs for a night out?---
A couple of reggae shows are among Thursdays highlights, and either should be worthy whether you worship Rastafari-style, simply partake of the religion's sacred herb or just want to dance a bit.
Up in Park City at the Star Bar, it's The Wailers, Bob Marley's former crew which might even have one of the original Wailers still grooving along--that would be Aston "Family Man" Barrett, bassist extraordinaire--and at the very least is definitely the world's best Bob Marley tribute band.
In SLC, the incredibly fan-friendly reggae-rockers Rebelution (pictured) headine a gig at The Depot, and the band is getting more popular by the day, so don't be surprised by a sell-out. Over at The Urban Lounge, sea-faring husband/wife duo Tennis headline a show of their indie-pop.
On the non-music tip, the Utah Museum of Fine Arts is showcasing the work of the U's fine-arts master's candidates with a show running today and Friday, giving you the opportunity of seeing some work by artists you'll be dying to know in a few years.
I'll recommend once again a visit to the New Frontier art show at Salt Lake Art Center, but tonight's planned show with James Franco to show off his Three's Company: The Drama multi-media piece is going to go on without the Oscar-nominated actor who canceled because, according to his manager Miles Levy, "With the Oscars so close, he can’t risk flying.”
The Oscars, it should be noted, are Feb. 27. And somehow Franco managed to fly in and out for Sundance events in Park City.
