As if you needed an excuse to dig into a cheap slice and a brew, KRCL and the Downtown Alliance are pairing up with Squatter's for a little post-work soiree Wednesday. ---
It's the very first KRCL's Night Out, and the City Weekly Street Team will be there as well (we're a sponsor of the event), and from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., you can enjoy a slice of pizza and a beer for just $5, not to mention the savvy sounds of local troubador Mary Tebbs, playing tunes from her excellent new Fuzzy Halo album. Consider it an opportunity for a cheap date, for letting the traffic get out of your face after work, or simply for hanging out with some good folks shooting the shit.
If you're in a more, oh, intellectual mood, consider a stop at the Anderson Foothill Library Wednesday morning for its regular First Wednesday Book Club. And at the Main Library at 3:30 p.m., there's a New Year's Zine Workshop for Teens that should inspire the creative kids in your house.
