Another year, another stack of stuff accumulating on my desk. Want some of it? ---

It's one of the great perqs of this job, having people send free DVDs -- until it becomes difficult to see the computer screen over the piles. So my dilemma becomes your opportunity, as some of the movies will go out to lucky readers of this blog.

Here's how it'll work: Check out the list of titles below. The first email in my inbox (scottr[at]cityweekly.net) requesting each title will get that DVD, which you'll need to pick up at the City Weekly office (248 S. Main St. in downtown Salt Lake City, above Sam Weller's Books).

Your choices are:

The American: George Clooney as an assassin on what may be his last assignment in Europe.

Babies: Documentary following the first year in the life of four babies living in four very different cultures.

The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story: Documentary about the sibling composing team best known for their work on Disney films including Mary Poppins and The Jungle Book.

Devil: Supernatural thriller from an M. Night Shyamalan story about five people trapped in an elevator, where one of them may be the Prince of Darkness.

Step Up 3: Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack of the latest dance competition drama.

Let 'er rip, folks. Winners will be announced in this space on Friday.

UPDATED 1/4 6:25 p.m.: All DVDs have been claimed. Watch for additional giveaways.
