You still have one shopping day left, and the City Weekly staff's favorite albums of the year just might help you with some last-minute decisions.---

You can check out my Top 10 albums of the year right here. But I'm merely one music geek in an office full of them. Check out what some of the City Weekly staff loved in 2010.

Nick Clark, Asst. Production Manager

Grinderman, Grinderman 2; Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Mojo; The Black Keys, Brothers; Gorillaz, Plastic Beach; The Black Angels, Phosphene Dream

"The Black Angels finally took my Urban Lounge virginity from me and the musical deflowering was everything I though it would be. My "Best Show of the Year" winner."

Christopher Westergard, Senior Classified Account Executive

Hot Chip, One Night Stand; Marina and the Diamond, Family Jewels; Scissor Sisters, Night Work; Beach House, Teen Dream; Robyn, Body Talk; Kelis, Flesh Tone

Best Shows: Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Scissor Sisters, Hot Chip, Beach House

Jesse Fruhwirth, Staff writer/Digital news editor

"My favorite show of the year was without a doubt Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings from the Twilight Concert Series. Virtually anyone that has seen her perform agrees: She's an undeniably infectious missionary of soul music."

I've been digging Utah's own The Lower Lights' A Hymn Revival in place of the insipid holiday standards cliches that I can hardly stomach. It gets me in the holiday mood. Especially good for me is the stand-out track "Count Your Blessings," an upbeat, feel-good song with a message that I need to hear often. The whole album is preachy by nature, but fun and beautiful throughout.

Ben Rosch, Account Executive

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Beat The Devil's Tattoo; Daft Punk, Tron: Legacy Sountrack; Broken Social Scene,  Forgiveness Rock Record; The Arcade Fire, The Suburbs; Bad Religion, The Dissent of Man

John Paul Brophy, Proofreader

Favorite shows: W.C. Clark at Pat's BBQ; Leon Redbone at The State Room; Joanne Taylor Shaw at Pat's BBQ; Junior Brown, Dwight Yoakam at Snowbasin; Los Lobos at Rose Wagner; Nick Moss and the Fliptops at Sun and Moon Cafe;  Eddie Shaw and the Wolf Gang at Sun and Moon Cafe.

Manda Bull, Marketing Coordinator/Graphic Artist

Phantogram, Eyelid Movies; The Radio Dept., Clinging to a Scheme; Jenny & Johnny, I'm Having Fun Now; Crystal Castles, II; Twin Shadow, Forget

Manda's Favorite Concerts of 2010 1. Paul McCartney, Rio Tinto Stadium, July 2010; 2. King Khan & the Shrines, Urban Lounge, May 2010; 3. Cocorosie, Urban Lounge, June 2010; 4. Midlake, The State Room, March 2010; 5. Hot Chip, In The Venue, October 2010

And you can download a mix of Manda's 2010 favorites right here!
