Where to Eat This Christmas

As a grad student in New York City, my colleagues and I could always take solace in the fact that, on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we wouldn't go hungry. At the very least, there were always Chinese restaurants and Jewish delis to quench our holiday hunger. --- Here, things are a little different. Finding restaurants open on Christmas Day, in particular, can be a challenge.%uFFFD

The only non-chain restaurants I know of that will be open on Christmas Day are The Aerie at Snowbird, Bambara (which will be closed for breakfast and lunch but open for dinner), Buca di Beppo, Grand America, The Grub Steak, La Caille, Little America, Tucci's, and also Silver Fork Lodge in Big Cottonwood Canyon. I suspect many resort and hotel restaurants will also be open. But, be sure to call first and MAKE RESERVATIONS.%uFFFD

As for Christmas Eve, the options are more plentiful. These restaurants have told me they're open, some with special Christmas Eve menus: Bambara, Cafe Trio, Faustina, Franck's, Fresco, Log Haven, Lugano, MacCool's, Market Street Grill & Oyster Bar and Tuscany.%uFFFD

If you know of additional restaurants serving on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, please let us know by posting a comment below.
