It’s another Wednesday without a new Modern Family, as well as no The Middle, Cougar Town or that other sitcom no one cares about. But hey, The Whole Truth is back … thanks, ABC. ---

What’s new tonight:
America’s Next Top Model (The CW) Season Finale: Will it be Chelsey (the modeling-savvy blonde who’s in her—ack!—mid 20s) or Ann (the awkward 6-footer/no-waister that Tyra Banks apparently really, really, really wants to win)? After a busy episode of photo shoots, runway shows, parental visits and incomprehensible Tyra babbling, it shall be decided!

Psych (USA) Some of the cast of Twin Peaks (it was a TV show in the ‘90s, kids) guest as Shawn and Gus investigate a mysterious drowning—just like the one that launched Twin Peaks, coincidentally. Sadly, Agent Dale Cooper couldn’t make it.

Top Chef: All-Stars (Bravo) Season Premiere: 18 past Top Chef losers face off in New York City under the scrutiny of host Padma Lakshmi, Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons and new judge … Anthony Bourdain? No shit?

Terriers (FX) Season Finale: The last week I’ll be bugging you about it … maybe. Terriers has struggled through its first season thanks mostly to titular misunderstanding (it’s not about dogs) and semi-schizo plotting (the series is as much about love and loss as it is about solving crimes and busting punks). Small-time San Diego private detectives Hank (Donal Logue) and Britt (Michael-Raymond James) stumbled upon a meaty local political conspiracy early on, but it’s taken a back seat to the guys’ daily personal drama—of which there’s been plenty; seemingly, two seasons’ worth woven through just 13 episodes. The conspiracy has resurfaced in the homestretch, but matters not: Terriers is a modern-day Rockford Files, just with two Jims, more complicated women and better one-liners (a compendium of Logue’s wisecracks would be a funnier read than CBS’s entire sitcom lineup). Ignore the ratings and bring on Season 2, FX.

Also new tonight:
The Whole Truth (ABC); Survivor: Nicaragua (CBS); Human Target, Hell’s Kitchen (Fox); Undercovers, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: LA (NBC); Hellcats (The CW); Mythbusters (Discovery); Man vs. Food (Travel)

Preview: Psych does Twin Peaks. Hopefully, they’ll still make time to mock The Mentalist.
