TV Tonight: Burn Notice, 30 Rock, The Office, Sunny In Philly

What’s new tonight:
Burn Notice (USA) Season Premiere: How soon is Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) out of bed and working a case after being shot up and auto-wrecked in the summer finale? About five minutes, of course. Not only that, but he’s taking on gang-bangers and helping bestest frenemy Jesse (Cobie Bell, guest-arcing waaay longer than previously imagined) retrieve some top-secret guv’ment info. So, business as usual: Gunplay, ‘splosions, sunglasses, snark and smokin’ hot Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) cruising in conspicuously-product-placed Hyundais—because that’s what spies drive, duh.
30 Rock (NBC) Jack (Alec Baldwin) attempts to swing an election in favor of a candidate (Mad Men’s John Slattery—Roger Sterling!) who could benefit NBC/Universal/Sheinhardt. Paying attention, Keith Olbermann? Meanwhile, Liz (Tina Fey) finds a sweet-ass pair of jeans, literally.
The Office (NBC) It’s a Glee viewing party! Of course, if the network had gotten its way, it would be an Apprentice or Biggest Loser viewing party.
It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (FX) Substitute drama teacher Dee (Kaitlin Olson) wants to take her students to see a Broadway show, but screens the gang’s much-referenced/never-before-seen Lethal Weapon 5 movie instead—a far more awesome choice, really. Anyone offended by the thought of Mac (Rob McElhenney) playing the Danny Glover role in blackface might want to avoid this … and pretty much every other It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia episode.
