Now that the World Series and the elections are over, it’s back to regular TV! On the downside (in some cases), it’s back to regular TV. ---

What’s new tonight:
L.A. Ink (TLC) Season 4 Finale: Forget tattooing—Kat Von D has a gallery opening! And a club opening! As for any other openings, you’ll have to ask Nikki Sixx. Thanks, I’ll be here all week, tip your waitresses.

My Dog Ate What? (NatGeo Wild) Series Debut: Yes, this is the fine type of programming that they killed the Fox Reality Channel and launched NatGeo Wild for—kind of an improvement, actually. My Dog Ate What? kicks off with “28 Tampons, Muscle Relaxants and a Needle,” which I believe was also the title of an L.A. Ink episode. Ba-dum-bump!

South Park (Comedy Central) In part two of The Coon Saga, the identity of Mysterion is revealed, and The Coon plots his revenge against his former allies. As superhero tales go, this is already better than No Ordinary Family.

Terriers (FX) It’s your weekly reminder that you’re not watching Terriers hard enough: With Hank (Donal Logue) sidelined with injuries from last week’s shooting, Britt (Michael Raymond James) teams up with a tranny hooker to catch his/her friend’s murderer. Terriers is an equal parts funny (Logue’s one-liners are priceless) and sad (the series has a heart-tugging nostalgic bent) show about a pair of San Diego private detectives who can’t seem to catch a break; kind of a modern-day Rockford Files that doesn’t quite fit the FX mold (and it ain’t about dogs). Here’s hoping the network overlooks the basement ratings and takes a chance on a second season.

Also new tonight:
The Middle, Better With You, Modern Family, Cougar Town (ABC); Survivor: Nicaragua, Criminal Minds, The Defenders (CBS); Undercovers, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Los Angeles (NBC); America’s Next Top Model, Hellcats (The CW); Ugly Americans (Comedy Central); Top Chef: Just Desserts (Bravo); Man vs. Food (Travel Channel), Harry Loves Lisa (TV Land); Steven Segal: Lawman (A&E)

Preview: Even though they keep inserting doggies into the promos, Terriers still ain’t about terriers.
