Concert Review: Lady Antebellum

Up for several awards in the Country Music Awards, American Music Awards and American Country Awards, it was no surprise that the Nashville trio- Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood sold out Tuesday night at the Rail Events Center.
Opening with "I Run to You," Lady Antebellum captured the country heart in every audience member. It was hard to find someone who wasn't singing along, from husbands and boyfriends to girls swooning over Kelley and Haywood.
For the hour or so they were on stage, Lady Antebellum didn't waste any time on their packed set. Older favorites off their debut album—"Long Gone," "Love Looks Good on You," "Love Don't Live Here," and "Lookin' for a Good Time"—were well received by loyal fans. Each member performed a solo: Scott sang Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me," which she admitted was the song that made her fall in love with music. Haywood played the Luke Bryan hit "Do I," which he co-wrote with Kelley, and Kelley finished off the solos with one of his own favorites, Springsteen's "I'm on Fire."
From their latest album, Need You Now, they sang "American Honey," "Our Kind of Love," "Stars Tonight," "Ready to Love Again," "Something 'Bout a Woman," and "Love This Pain."
As the bartenders began closing up, Lady Antebellum finished with their hit "Need You Now," a song every person ever guilty of drunk texting can relate to (which is probably why it's so popular). For the encore they returned with their newest single, "Hello World," and had many dancing as they ended the night with a mix of "R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.," "What I Like About You, "Beverly Hills," and "Boys of Summer."
