What’s on this weekend:
The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson (CBS, tonight) Scottish Conan welcomes guests Alison Brie (Community, Mad Men) and Jason Segel (How I Met Your Mother). This is significant because 1. Segel most likely bring some Halloween-puppet madness to the proceedings, and 2. Brie is hot, funny and on two of the best shows on TV. Plus, it gives me an excuse to run this nice pic from Men’s Health (right). You're welcome.
Also tonight:
The Good Guys (Fox); Smallville, Supernatural (The CW); School Pride (NBC); Medium, CSI:NY, Blue Bloods (CBS); Law & Order: UK (BBC America); Teach: Tony Danza (A&E); Sanctuary (SyFy); The Soup (E!); Real Time With Bill Maher (HBO); The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret (IFC)
The Rally to Restore Sanity (Comedy Central, Saturday) In what’s sure to be the most anti-climactic live event in Comedy Central history, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert host their competing “Rally to Restore Sanity” and “March to Keep Fear Alive” parties. On the upside, this will mean fewer repeat showings of National Lampoon’s Van Wilder today.
Also Saturday:
Saturday Night Live (NBC) Jon Hamm (Mad Men) hosts; Rhianna lip-syncs; Red: Werewolf Hunter (SyFy) Read all about it in True TV (Item 5).
The Walking Dead (AMC, Sunday) The best zombie movie ever is actually a TV series—read all about it in True TV. Also showing on the big screen (with beer!) at Brewvies tonight, 8 p.m.
Also Sunday:
Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters (ABC); The Amazing Race, Undercover Boss, CSI: Miami (CBS); Ghost Hunters Live Marathon (SyFy); Boardwalk Empire, Bored to Death, Eastbound & Down (HBO); Childrens Hospital, The Venture Bros. (Adult Swim)
Preview: The Walking Dead is pure awesome ...
