Sundance Audience Award winner, Once, free tonight

The Sundance Film Institute tonight will host a free screening of Once, the 2007 Audience Award winner at the Sundance Film Festival. Even better, the screening is at Red Butte Gardens. ---

Critics loved Once as much as the audiences at Sundance. Nathan Rabin, from the Onion A.V. Club, for example, called it "subdued," "mellow," "and just about perfect."

The film features beautiful music (it won an Academy Award for Best Song, beating out the triple-nominated Enchanted). Glen Hansard, frontman for The Frames, wrote and performs most of it, but he got help from Markéta Irglová. Together, the pair form the duo The Swell Season. They'll be performing at Red Butte August 15 (for tickets click here).
