Saying no to the death penalty

The ACLU of Utah will be hosting an interfaith prayer vigil and rally against capital punishment tonight, on the eve of Ronnie Gardner’s execution.---
The local ACLU is calling on people of conscience to protest the state’s execution of Ronnie Gardner. Join in a prayer vigil, Thursday from 5:30-6:30 p.m., at the Cathedral Church of St. Mark, 231 E. 100 South. Later join protesters at the south steps of the Utah State Capitol, 350 N. State, from 9 p.m.-12 a.m. Religious and community leaders will speak out against capital punishment, and there will be a musical performance by Kate MacLeod from 9-10 p.m.
