With the legislature moving to make drastic changes to higher-ed funding and other state agencies by prohibiting affirmative action, community advocates say it’s time to take a step back and see what could happen with such a devastating pen stroke to the state constitution.---

House Joint-Resolution would prohibit funding to higher education and state agencies based on gender, race, ethnicity, color, religion or national origin.

With implications shaking numerous state agencies the good folks of the Coalition for TRUE Equal Treatment in Utah is hosting an educational forum to educate the public on the resolution and how it will affect education and other state program in Utah.

Check it out: Tomorrow, Saturday, Feb. 27 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Horizonte Instruction Center, 1234 S. Main. For more info contact trueequaltreatment@gmail.com
