In the closest race ever, the 2009 Heisman Trophy award goes to… ---
Mark Ingram of the University of Alabama.
A 212 pound sophomore running back from Flint Michigan, struggled to contain his emotion, then just gave in to it. A very proud family watched as he accepted the Crimson Tide’s first ever Heisman trophy award.
Kind of gets you right in the soft spot…
