To boycott Snowbird, or just shame owner

The Sierra Club and Protect our Winters, a coalition of winter sports enthusiasts, raised their voices against Dick Bass, owner of Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, and his plans to shred 30 square miles of Alaska wildlands for a strip coal mine. ---
"Skiing and snowboarding will be extinct if we continue on this pace," professional snowboarder Forrest Shearer of Protect our Winters said at the press conference at Library Square in Salt Lake City.
As I reported back in September, Bass not only owns Snowbird, but Delaware-based PacRim Coal, which is applying to start the coal strip mine in Alaska.
Neither the Sierra Club nor Protect our Winters called for a boycott of Snobird, confing their cricism to Bass himself. "We feel it's more effective to focus our efforts on Dick Bass," said Claire Jones of the Sierra Club.
Members of Peaceful Uprising attended the rally and handed out fliers that do call for a boycott of Snowbird, however.

I won't rehash the whole controversy here. Just go to my September story to learn more: Snowbird Seems Inconsistent
