Hank was a dog from the beginning; it couldn't survive being a weak lead-off for a night of superior comedies--reportedly, Modern Family repeats will now fill the slot (squeal!). Eastwick will run out its remaining episodes (there's a total of 13, with no resolution for the jiggly witches), and the Ugly Betty folks must be coveting that Wednesday-at-9 vacancy--who wants to be stuck on Dead Friday?
Not Dollhouse, which Fox saddled with the doomed slot from the get-go ... and then took it away! Allegedly, all 13 episodes of Season 2 will still begin burning off in December--unless Fox changes their mind again, as they're wont to do.
Maybe Dollhouse will wrap up with its shit firmly together, because it's been a damned erratic ride thus far--and increasingly difficult to convince newbies to buy in. This is still my favorite piece of Fox propaganda, a Grindhouse-style promo for last season's brilliant-but-doomed pairing with Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Maybe Eliza Dushku can guest on Sons of Anarchy ...
