Eric Maynor: Two for the New Kid

Eric Maynor scored his first official NBA regular season points on Friday against the Clippers.--- He went 0-1 from the field but he was fouled and made both his free throws. He backed up D-Will and played about 5 minutes. He was a little sloppy and had 2 turn-overs in the short time he played, but he did grab a rebound. Now that he’s washed the Baron Davis grime off, he should do better next game. %uFFFD
The standouts of the game were Millsap, Fes and Williams. Fes started in place of Memo and scored 10 points with a block. Paul had 23 points and 9 rebounds off the bench, and Deron put on his usual show and was an assist short of a double-double with 20 points. Boozer had a good average game (20 points, 12 rebounds) even after an almost uncontested air ball that was closer to hitting the scorer’s table than the rim. He made up for it a little by dishing 7 assists. Brewer added 17 points and a steal, and Kirilenko had a terrible offensive night but had 7 assists and 4 rebounds.
The Jazz were again without Miles, Korver and Harpring, and added Memo to the injured list. He practiced over the weekend and will hopefully be ready to go for Monday’s game against the Rockets.
