If you can read this you should not be driving---

I don't know where we would be as a society if it were not for all these studies either done or commissioned by the government to tell the obvious.

The Feds are now looking into ways to try and keep people from being even more distracted while driving.  A bunch of studies have concluded that texting while driving is a hazzard causing idiot people to run into other cars, poles, bikers, pedestrians, animals and even their own garage doors!

California outlawed talking on a cell phone a while back so naturally drivers just went to hands free cell talking to keep them from showing up on an episode of Cops.  It has been scientifically proven that talking on  a cell phone while driving is more dangerous than driving under the influence.  Texting is more dangerous than driving with a blindfold on while changing your pants and eating a bowl of soup.

Now just how the Federal government will deal with this scourge of texting drivers will be interesting.  Also the idea of the Fed doing anything scares the crap out of me.  I can see them mandating cameras being installed along roads to watch to see if anybody is texting while driving. They could order auto manufacturers to install another black box that would detect if a car was being driven by a texter or who knows what.

Personally I can't imagine trying to text while driving.....I can barely do it sitting at my desk and forget even trying without wearing reading glasses.  I can't wait to see what the fine will be for a DWT.
