When the NFL finishes each year’s schedule… ---
They sit down and look at it with some network TV bigwigs and decide which games are nationally televised, on prime time and so forth. It’s a simple process really, that involves millions of dollars and a bunch of greedy bastards. The end result, however, is that you get an NFL season opening game like tonight’s 1st game of the year.
The Tennessee Titans vs the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers fresh off a Super Bowl win playing the team that embarrassed them last year in the regular season, to the point of throwing a Pittsburgh “Terrible Towel” on the ground and stomping their muddy cleats into it.
6:30 pm on NBC. It’s on.
