We have seen the angry people attending these so called town meeting around the country blasting the Congresspersons holding them over the idea of health care reform.--- While the anger in most cases is real, the targets of the anger seems to be a bit of a mystery. I hear these yellers, screamers and poorly written poster carriers yelling that they don't want government messing with their health care because, we have the best health care in the world", and government will only screw it up. For starters our health care system comes in at 34 globally. People in Canada, France, UK, Sweden, Switerzland, The Netherlands, Austrailia and such have longer life expectancy's than US citizens.
British series tend to run shorter seasons than their American counterparts--but Being Human's mere six-episode stint on BBC America (wrapping for 2009 this Saturday) is just downright cruel. Who'da thunk a supernatural Mod Squad would make such a cult-y impact stateside?
It's been over a week since I've mentioned anything roller-derby-related, so here's this: Ogden's Junction City Roller Dolls are playing this Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Davis Conference Center in Layton. JCRD is the other O-Town derby group, not the one that lost by over 300 points to a visiting Colorado league recently and then inferred they may have been "cheating," FYI.
