Jerry Jones… NFL owner, egomaniac, Mr. Napolean syndrome… ---

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has demonstrated on many occasions, that his ego never takes a backseat to a good decision. He fired Tom Landry instead of letting him retire. Then he fired Jimmy Johnson after he won 2 Super Bowls. The list just goes on and on from his meddling with the game on the sidelines to his Jackson-esque cosmetic surgery fetish.

This year he built a multi-million dollar stadium to replace the old Cowboy stadium. When he did, he had the largest jumbotron ever made built to hang in the center. Ready? 60 yards wide. That’s right, just over 1/2 the size of a football field. Why? Because he’s an idiot who wanted the biggest HDTV ever made. The problem is that it’s too big. Punters are hitting it when they kick the ball with ease and regularity.

When Indianapolis built their new stadium, Colts punter Hunter Smith, was brought in to punt balls and make sure they didn't hit the scoreboard. That’s called due diligence.

Not Mondo Jerry, who said “if a punter hits it we’ll just replay the down.” Pure arrogance. The NFL however, has stepped in and saying that something needs to be done. The NFL competition committee is meeting this week.

They will have to cut about 60 yards off Jerry’s ego first, before they start on his new punt blocking machine.
