Did all the companies releasing TV-series seasons sets know this was going to be one of the crappiest weeks of the year for new movie releases? Or did all the decent movies flee from the glut of interesting TV-series seasons? ---
Whichever the case may be, you probably won't be inspired to race out and rent Hannah Montana: The Movie, or the remake of The Last House on the Left. Heck, big-screen options more than a generation old -- 1984's fantasy The Last Starfighter, and the old-school Disney animation-plus-actors Pete's Dragon -- are more worth your while. It's understandable if any spare DVD dollars in a consumer's pocket go to new releases of The Simpsons (Season 12), Dexter, Everybody Hates Chris or Eli Stone. Or maybe save up for next week, when there are a few movie releases actually worth racing out for.
