Lets all get this on the table and be done with it.---

Larry H. Miller was a giant in Utah business and what he contributed to the state and it's citizens lives on.  The jobs he created in his various enterprises, the JAZZ which would not have existed without his passion for the game and love of the state. The billions of dollars his business's generated, taxes, salary's and charitable contributions of his money and time.

Now all this is more than deserving of a public monument to the man and his accomplishments.  The problem I have is that this monument is going to be partially paid from taxpayers.  Could the timing of spending what little is in the County change purse on monuments at this time be a bit foolish?

Let the private sector collect the funds felt needed to memoralize this great community leader and leave tax dollars out of of it.

Next thing you know they will want to spend our tax dollars on a monument for Dave Checketts....Oh, I forgot....we already did that.  It's called Rio Tinto!
