Before the death of Michael Jackson and the madness of health care reform, an election in Iran was stolen. For those who forgot, U2 is helping you remember. ---

For almost two weeks this summer, the Iranian election dominated cable news and fully legitimized Twitter as a news tool. Green became the color of revolution, not the color of environmentalists.

The old-guard hard-liners who feared losing their grip on power to the young, smart and beautiful rigged the election so Mahmoud Ahmadinejad would win a second term. After the election, hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets and filed updates through Twitter. The world was outraged.

Then, everything went dark, and news was very hard to come by from Iran, especially once all of the resources for American news outlets shifted to Michael Jackson's death and the debate over health care reform. But this week, protesters are soon to on trial and cyber-thugs have possibly hacked Twitter as the election is confirmed.

Lest anyone forget, however, U2 is here to remind you. In a combination of awesome rock spectacle and poignant political statement, here is a video of "Sunday Bloody Sunday" from a recent Dublin concert.
