"Hey Buddy...can you spare a billion or 2?"

The irony is a bit rich.---

I shouldn't have used the word rich when talking about panhandling, but one man's panhandling is another man's lobbying.  The city thinks people who stand around with their hand out to strangers are doing damage to the city's image and making people feel uncomfortable.

They want to put restrictions on where, when and how panhandlers are allowed to operate in Salt Lake City.  This should apply to lobbyists as well.  The way lobbyists operate makes Legislators the panhandlers as they are offered a myriad of goodies to curry favor on issues that these souless hired guns are pushing.

The art of trying to do the people's work without undue outside influence is tough enough without these refugees from "Payday" lending scum operations trying to get into the pants....wallets of duely elected officials.  The Legislators are no better when they say that they can't be bought with JAZZ tickets, rounds of golf, trips, tinker toys, hookers, snikerdoodles or cotton candy.

Do you find it a bit strange that Utah has the most lax ethics laws on the books?  This must be because we in Utah are above reproach and no brother or sister would attempt to tempt another to do anything unethical.

That being said, who wants to come over to my house and learn how they can make piles of cash getting their friends and neighbors to buy this goo that promises to make you look 200 Lb's thinner?
