Health care reform saga continues

"If we do not act, 14,000 Americans will continue to lose their health insurance every single day. These are the consequences of inaction. These are the stakes of the debate we're having right now," Obama said in remarks prepared for a prime-time White House news conference. --- Obama's determination to pass health care reform is certainly holding true to his statements about bringing change to America. Some Republican opponents, however, not only hate the reform proposal, but view this as Obama's “Waterloo.” (the words of Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C. ). But the republican party is not Obama's only obstacle. Led by Conservative democrats, known as the 'blue dogs,' key members of the democratic party find a problem with paying for health care reform by taxing wealthy Americans, and are wary of the politically risky idea of a publicly-run health insurance system that competes with U.S. private insurers.
